Catherine Hill Bay Recycled Water Treatment Plant is complete and commence operation.

We are pleased to announce that construction, commissioning and government auditing of the Catherine Hill Bay Recycled Water Treatment Plant (RWTP) is complete with Minister’s approval to commence operation having been finalised in December 2018.

Aquatis has been working closely with Solo Water over the past 2 years to assist in the design, construction, commissioning and optimisation of the RWTP located at Catherine Hill Bay in NSW, Australia.

The RWTP includes Screening, Membrane Bioreactor, UV disinfection and chlorination.

Drawing wastewater from the pressurised sewer, the RWTP produces recycled water in line with the WICA licence for use within the Catherine Hill Bay community.

Recycled water will be used for watering gardens and lawns, toilet flushing, cloths washing and general wash down allowing the Catherine Hill Bay community to be one of the most sustainable communities in Australia in terms of water management.

“At Aquatis, we are very proud of providing expertise to recycle water. Water is a precious resource and with the Catherine Hill Bay RWTP, we now can recycle the wastewater in a socially responsible and environmentally sound way” said JC Schrotter, MD of Aquatis Pty Ltd.
